Temporary exhibition

Un país hecho de fútbol

A country made of soccer
December 3rd through March 18th

The National Museum of Colombia and Coldeportes present the first temporary exhibition dedicated to a national sport. By putting together this exhibit, the Museum recognizes soccer as one of Colombia’s most important cultural and social phenomena of the last century up to present day; one that has brought together diverse audiences and interests.

Given the need for a particular space in Colombia to rescue the history of sport, the Museum offers an exhibition that highlights its significance in the development of the nation and invites visitors to reflect upon its many features as a social, cultural and mass phenomenon.

Un país hecho de fútbol seeks to narrate stories told by fans, players, coaches,
journalists and other spectators that have been linked to the national team’s triumphs, defeats and events since its first line-ups during the 1940s to the present day.
